Cross Walk Southern California commences with this first Walk The Cross ministry in this large and beautiful Santa Clarita Valley known for its Magic Mountain amusement park. The long walk with the ten foot, 60-pound cross began at McBean Parkway and Valencia Blvd. This is a very heavily used intersection and as many as ten thousand cars passed by as I walked the cross east and then west for several miles. At each major intersection I hoisted the cross and prayed long and hard for the people of these valley cities. I prayed for widespread revival to break out among all the inhabitants.

I then turned my attention to the government part of this large community. Walking to the large City Hall building, I hoisted the cross and prayed for the major and the council members, as well as all city employees, that they all come to Jesus and begin a new life in Christ for the sake of the citizens of this valley community.

I then walked into City Hall and left my card, sharing with the receptionist that the major or any council member could call me at any time and ask for prayer for any need whatsoever.

Many people living in this valley honked their horns or shouted out as they passed by. Several asked for prayer, which is why I walk the cross in the first place. Church on the streets! Different prayer needs, but all very important to the one who asked for prayer.

Because I always ask area pastors and churches to help underwrite my motel costs, I dropped by New Life Assembly of God in Santa Clarita and met with the pastor. Pastor Jezanah “Chris” Janiak graciously donated $55 from his own personal account to pay for my stay in town. Thank you, Chris, for helping this street evangelist bring Cross Walk California to Santa Clarita and Valencia.

My photographer (my beautiful wife) didn’t come with me this time, so there’s no photos. Maybe tomorrow. Still, one truth stands out boldly because of this cross walk. Santa Clarita, Valencia and Newhall won’t be the same tomorrow because of this cross walk today! To God be the glory.

Jesus wants to save all people! Everybody ought to know who Jesus is. hence, California Cross Walk. Amen and amen.
